IUCN World Coservation Congress 2016

We are delighted to announce that Plastic Oceans will be presenting at the up-coming World Conservation Congress, hosted by IUCN.  This year the theme is, Planet at the Crossroads.

This congress is the world’s largest environmental and nature conservation event.  It will be the largest gathering of environmental policy-makers since the Paris Climate Agreement and the sustainable development goals in New York.  6000 delegates from around the world including, representatives from 170 governments, leading scientists, NGO’s, indigenous peoples and business will attend.

Jo Ruxton will be speaking on 2nd Sept in the Oceans and Islands Pavilion as well as hosting a private screening of our film, A Plastic Ocean, to an audience of VIP members.
